A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be remarkably easy if you’ve got a cloud web hosting with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the account itself. You’ll see all the email addresses that you’ve set up enumerated in alphabetical order and to the right of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a specific mailbox gets all the messages pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you like. In case there is active email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you will get an alert from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not want this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
